Default Grab Rail Mount Cap

There are two square indents on the roof for the interior grab handle mounts. I see these as a problem just waiting to happen after rain, snow or even washing the truck if the water isn't removed. Over time, I think these will start leaking. Has anybody run across some sort of plug that will seal these up tight?

I have no idea what you are talking about? are you talking on the outside under the black plastic roof rails?

A few inches in front of the channel on the top of the truck.. There's a bolt in the indentthat appears to be used for the inside headliner grab rail.

Don't you see them as a potential leakage problem over time? Or do they not go all the way into the interior?

Thanks, Dennis thats what I thought he meant but wasn't sure. I do not think they go all the way to the inner roof. They are only to hold the black plastic rails onto the roof, nothing to do with the grab handles. More likely than not the top of the roof where the bolt goes in is a welded in threaded insert.

Thanks guys. Just being paranoid, don't like anything that holds water....leads to corrosion problems over time. To tell you the truth, since we have the monotone paint, I forgot that the roof rail was a bolt on item. My bad.

If you would look very closely at the hole, you'll see the torx bolt does not completely cover the hole at the bottom..this will allow for drainage...Thisisquite obvious to the most casual observer
