got a PCM4less tune
#11
I fully understand not wanting to tamper with the truck, and I'll support anyone's stance to leave it as is. That said, 1.) I have had the PCMforless tune. 2.) I'm glad I did if for no other reason the mileage increase. 3.) I have had warranty work done with absolutely no issue after the tune.

I understand the various concerns, I just know that its a great performance value for the cost. We are having a cam developed for it now and will be supercharging it. Our coal is 500 hp and still be very nice to drive.
It is a project vehicle we are building for a client to introduce some H3 high performance parts.
This is one of those rare situations that the client doesn't care if we discuss the build with others.
We will post pics in the future.

Im getting ready to do mine. What mileage increase did you get?

Picked up about 1MPG both highway and city. That's with stock intake and exhaust. If you have aftermarket I'd expect even bigger gains.

I am getting ready to do mine also ,maybe
2 or 3 of us could get a discount.I have a 07 stock pcm out of my 07 somebody could use for a core and keep their stock one in case of warranty problems.I had my 07 tuned and the dealer never said anything about it.

Has anyone thought of doing the "brown gas" upgrade? Its suppose to increase mileage anywhere from 40 to 65%. I got a buddy that just did it to his GMC 2500 and he said he improved to 40-45% on the highway. Actually said it is running better, cleaner and his fuel bills pulling his trailer have been cut in half. I am looking at trying on my Hummer. You can pull it off in less than an hour. I'm getting 15 right now with leveling kit and 35's. If I get a 50% increase I'll be up in the 22-23 range! Worth the try for less than 100-150 bucks for the plans and parts.

It goes in the same pile with Voltage Stabilizers, Fuel Line magnets & Tornado intake fins
Best proven ways to improve your mileage is to run a few pounds more pressure in your tires (maybe 37psi), use cruise control on the highway & change your driving habits.
