Hi!

I am new here so forgive me if this has been discussed, I tried the search engine and did not find what I was looking for.

I just purchased a new 09 H3T and I am trying to find out if someone has installed the GM Cat Back system offered for the H3T.

My dealer says it will get me some more ponies and 2-3 more mpg's????

Any Info will be great as this is my first Hummer and I so much to learn!

look around for custom muffler shops and see theyre work. it'll probably be cheaper. i'd put a turbo muffler on it if it was the 8 if its the 5 i wouldnt bother the sound isnt there for me. good luck

It is the V8 what muffler sounds good on these trucks. I listened to some you tube stuff but its hard to tell from that.

 

thats the truck im looking at right now, i test drove one but i want the adventure pkg also. how do you like your truck so far? what color did you get, tell me about the interior?

as far as exhaust goes how old are you lol. i wouldnt get one thats too loud it'll be cool for awhile then you'll say dam this is loud, but it'll be to late to change lol. dynomax are nice. turbos are a mellow pipe if you want to be noticed get a glasspack. if you didnt live in a salty climate[rust] id get a shut off so you can go from mild to wild .

they even make a product that you can sound like any car you want thru a speaker lol it works with the gas pedal.

 

I just picked up my H3T on Thursday. The GM catback is supposed to be in on Monday. I'll let you know how it works next week.

 

Any word on how that GM cat back is working and how it sounds.

 

his is a 5 cylinder so it wont sound the same. your 5.3 willsound nice with it imo listen to a 1/2 ton chevy with pipes
