Glow Plugs not working after heavy rain
Hi all,
To start, I have a 2000 HMCO, 6.5TD with 200,000mi.
My glow plugs were replaced new a year ago.
I have recently been experiencing a problem where after heavy rain, when I try to start my truck, the glow plug "wait" light does not come on. I have checked all fuses, and tried uncoupling and re-coupling the main wire harness connection, as well as the three glow plug plugs in the back near the transmission dipstick. I have had my truck parked due to a broken engine mount and when I try to start it the odd time (which unfortunately happens to be after a lot of rain) to let it run for a while and charge the batteries, and fill the tires up, the glow plugs do not come on.
Any help of where to check next would be greatly appreciated.
