Glove box latch / ABS chrome door handles
I recently tried to open my glove box and felt it snap as I lifted it up to open it. I opened it with needle nose pliers and it looks like everything but the spring is plastic so it cannot be repaired. Since I have to replace it anyway, I'd love to replace this with something that locks, does anyone know if GM is making a replacement with a key lock mechanism or anything aftermarket that locks?
Also, I have the black outside door handles and outside mirrors on my 2006 H3. I've seen ABS chrome plastic overlays that in the catalog look good. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on these? Do they look anywhere near OEM good, stay on, hold up?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Glove box latch / ABS chrome door handles
I replaced my door handles with oem chrome handles. From my local dealer(New Hampshire) it was cheaper to buy 5 handles than the chrome covers. I did buy the covers for my mirrors and they look okay. The only thing that bothers me about them is that they don't wrap completely around the mirror.

I just put on Defenderwerks chrome door buckets and handles. Expensive but looks great. On the front doors, you have to pull the glass out of the door to get to the bolts for the buckets and mirror bolts. I have full chrome backed mirrors that I added the turn signal mirror from Muth. Stay away from the overlays, they will peel off in time.
