Default Gauge Lights

Does anyone else have cluster lights that just completely suck? Is it like what I'm seeing on all H3's?

Sometimes during sunset, I can't see the numbers on my speedometer when the lights are on in my cluster. It just doesn't seem bright enough, ever, even at night.

What kind of lights are behind the cluster and how hard are they to get to, does anyone know? I'm thinking I may have some lights out back there.

Your are aware they can be dimmed through the switch by the headlamp control? Maybe they are turned down too low?

Oh yeah, I'm fully aware of that and they're turned up full blast at all times. Would anyone mind taking a picture of your gauges either during the day or at night so I can take a picture of mine and compare?

When you operate your dimmer switch, do you see any change? Just wondering if the switch itself is bad.

I see it get brighter and darker, but it's never been nearly as bright as other vehicles I've owned. Even when its up all the way I have trouble clearly reading the numbers during twilight hours.

Mine can get way too bright for night driving when turned all the way up.

Ok, the picture I've posted is with them all the way turned up. I've never had my gauges be too bright for anything ever.

I've got a couple k left on my warranty and my dealer is going to love me in the next few months.

Default !!caution!!

b 4 id let a clumsy dealer tear apart my dash id make some detailed notes about how it works now,in fact id take pictures and make a video of the startup sequence of lights. they might make it worse. how else will u know if something is missing later. oh i hate being cynical.

ive been into a few dashboards and it can be messy getting back together. all this work for a light bulb?.

a smart co. would mount a light source under the hood and feed it thru plastic light tubes,,,too easy, my son would say!

gud luk
