Gas or Electric Dryer?

Gas or Electric Dryer?
OK ladies and gentlemen (well, some of you ). I need to buy a dryer for my new house. I'm debating whether to buy a electric dryer or gas dryer. In the past I switched from gas to eletric and didn't notice a difference. Considering the immediate predictions in my area are that natural gas prices will decline but recent deregulated electric prices will rise, it kinda cancels each other out as far as how much money I will spend.
Since we have alot of engineers on the site, I want to get opinions as to what kind I should go with. I'm leaning more towards electric just because the newer generations of dryers are supposedly energy-efficient. Any advice is much appreciated as always. Thanks!

RE: Gas or Electric Dryer?
i'd have to agree with Dennis. gas gives you instant heat, and when it shuts off it cools much faster. electric is a bit safer though, no leaks to worry about. efficiencies have improved dramatically lately, so there's probably not going to be much of a difference between the 2 though.
