I dont know much about Hummers or GM for that matter but when it pertains to "tuning" an engine is an engine is an engine. I have a 650 rwhp cobra that I tuned myself with an SCT handheld and some basic software. Granted I dont see anyone getting those kind of gains out of anything that is considered a "tune in a can" (which refers to any kind of general chip or flash program with a preset program not custom to your actual vehicle).
When my 2003 Cobra was stock it was supercharged form the factory at around 400 hp. Now these cars have quite a bit left in them if you can reprogram and upgrade your exhaust... I upgraded my exhaust and did a "tune in a can" much like the one you are inquiring about.... I actually lost power... That being said I leaned out the fuel tables and added some timing and went from about 390 to 415-420. Keep in mind this was on a forced induction car not on a naturally aspirated motor. 60hp gain is rubbish and laughable and I would love to see how this company can get away with such a bold claim!
If you want to get the most efficiency out of your vehicle call a local dyno shop or find a tuner that can tune your vehicle, and get a handheld that the tuner can use and get your vehicle a custom tune for each grade of fuel you have in your area. The juice probably isnt worth the squeeze but every little bit helps.
