Default Fuel filling problem

I just picked up a 1995 H1 with the 5.7 350 but everytime I go to refuel it spits gas back at me. It acts like it is full if I fill it too fast so I have to barely squeeze the handle to get it to work. It takes forever to fill my tank! Any ideas on what could be wrong? I was thinking it might be a venting issue....

For sure it's your fuel tank ventilation problem. There is no way for air to escape when you are filling fuel tank with fuel. So, in my opinion, you are on right truck. Check your fuel tank ventilation system.

Do you know a way I can check it? I don't know where to start.

There should be a vent tube in the back of the engine compartment on the passenger side. And there will be one in the back on the passenger side by the rear fender well if you have two tanks.

I only have one fuel tank, and I have a gas engine not diesel if that makes a difference.

I have attached a picture of the fuel system parts. I am thinking that the problem lies in either #28 or #10. Does anyone have experience with either one of these parts?
