frozen windows
a while back i said in a post,"im still looking for something i dont like!!"
i found it; my windows freeze when its cold,,,ALWAYS!!
in other cars there was a flexible rubber strip rubbing the glass. it let loose in all but worst cases,,then i could scrape with scraper and it would let go
the h3 has HARD, ?? something that wont give up and i need to get a lot of heat b4 i can open,,,not very nice.
i tried spraying window "no freeze", no good.
any ideas??

Tom, I would think there's another under lying issue there... Are they freezing on the inside or outside or both? Do you have a sunroof? Your one of the first people to ever bring this up to the best of my memory... Intresting very intresting indeed...

outside
it seems mostly outside and the fit is so tight theres no "give" when i bump it. its so solid nothing can move.
its not just when a layer of water freezes, it can be a nite with no rain/ snow, just cold, like under 30.
when the air feels dry it seems worse, very hard.
rocking the up/down =nothing and i dont want to stress the motor.
only heat helps.
btw when i get a layer of ice on mirrors i drape some cloth/towels out from the heat ducts and melt it very quickly without scraping and messing up the mirror position. im thinking of keeping plastic bags to cover them but probably never remember to do it when needed!!
i didnt try hot water, it might refreeze i guess??
tom
2 btw the heater is great and helps all situations!
meantime, im humming along
oh no sun roof, darn
