Pull-ahead lease. They'll let you out of the last 6 months of your current H3 lease, and lease you a new H3 for $220 a month on a 24 mont6h lease (would extend my current lease by 18 months).
$220 a month is with $800 something down, + the usualfees, first month, etc, (total almost $2,000). My current lease was just fees, first month etc, up front ($1,200). Doing that again, the payment would be almost $270. That for my favorite H3 which is a Base with the chrome wheels, door handles and mirrors, splash guards, all-weather matts and an auto trans. (No leather of sunroof for me).
But I need something with more interior room, and I'd certainly like a nicer interior. Thinking about a Ford Edge, or really the Ford Flex. Haven't seen that in person yet though,...so I'm going to hang on to the current yellow H3 untill the lease runs out and check out some nicer cars. At $3.50 a gallon and rising,....I can understand GMs' desperation totry to movethe Hummer line-up. Of course the Edge only gets 3 mpg better mileage. No figures on the Flex yet.

Just wanted to say thanks to those of you who have shared your knowledge on the 2009 H3 models since that is what I am researching and planning on purchasing. Definitely motivates me to get to that point. One question, at one point I heard a rumor regarding two new colors for the H3 in 2009, any word on this or is this not valid?

Thanks Brian, I am up the 35 in OKC so will most likely be giving you a holler closer to the time when I am able to pull the trigger on an '09 Alpha. When it can be released, would appreciate if you could lemme know the new color so I can get everything squared away prior to hollerin' at ya.
Have a good one bro.

I had a chance to drivean H3 equipped with the new front locker and it isawesome. Here's a blog I wrote on the subject:
http://blogs.fourwheeler.com/6236540...h3t/index.html
The button for the new front locker is placed next to the button for the rear locker in the "4x4 Control" area. It replaces the stability control button, which is moved lower in the stack to one of those unused round holes near the bottom.Togglingin and out of lock mode was very intuitive due to the placement of the switches. The front locker itself is cast-iron just like the front diff it's found in.
