Front aftermarket spot lights.

Front aftermarket spot lights.
Ok folks, this is stumping me to no end. As you all know, I just got this used hummer H2 2003. The front brush guard came equipped with two spot lamps. I have searched everywhere for a toggle inside the vehicle. I found nothing. I thought maybe they operated with the highbeams but nothing. I checked the bulbs to see if they were blown. Introduced 12 volts to the lamps and both lit up. One wire from the lamps goes to ground. The other wire goes into the fuse box in the engine compartment. Removed the plastic cover and noticed the positive lamp wire female connector from the lamps is directly connected to a male pigtail connector thick 12 gauge blue wire. The original blue wire female connector is of course disconnected and hanging free. Anyone have a clue what is going on with this or where this wire originates? Hmm I could put a audio trace on it. Its gotta be something simple. I have checked all fuses. Well putting it out there. Lets see what happens Thanks in advance!

Wow noone? Well I just might hardwire it into the headlamp bright lights. If the fuse pops, Ill get a dedicated relay for the lamps with a toggle. Why would they put extras on the vehicle without a on switch? This is just plain wierd.

Don't know whether this will help you. I installed Hella spots on the front of mine. They sell the wiring harness complete with switches and relays separate to the spots. More importantly, it comes with detailed instructions. I would go this route.
