Had my hummer back for a week, new fox shocks installed and replacement engine installed, 5.3 to replace the 3.7 and performance tune......Running like a freight train ....finally sorted rego issues and in the dunes friday, but super smooth ride on road, will give feedback after friday in the sand....

So finally got driving in the dunes again after tooooo long, new engine was great, really big difference, good response and great torque, the Fox shocks also went really well, very nice, smooth as, just floating up / over & down the dunes, and great for a blast along the odd sabhka (salt/sand flats).

Was an easy run as first time in the sand with the new engine, so next friday a longer 70kms trip in some bigger dunes ....will really test the shocks on side cresting at speed....cant wait, just a week of work between now and then.....

a few pics of mine after install. Seem to run well. Should get their first test off road in January running snow trails.

Can't say for sure. There were two versions on the internet when I was researching. One model had a flexable tube and the model I have is welded aluminum? I suspect. Tim at Expedition Hardware was helpful to me. I suspect he would have the part numbers as well for the extended lengths. Or maybe Bebe as she ran these shocks as well. Tim at EH dealt directly with the folks at Samco and Fox for me. I'd give him a shout if you are still looking.

2 x 65km days in the dunes and a shorter LIWA trip and the fox shocks are doing the trick...very nice, not cheap but worth it...
