Hi There

Does anyone know who does 4WS conversions to the H2 and/or H3 Hummers? Any info would be appreciated.

naaaw not a waste of a hummer... great idea I would love to add this to my H1 once I get the cash... anyone on a tight trail or in some thick mud would know why it would be very useful!!! especially on a tight trail that is very slippery with some nice rutts and going in reversehard to control the rear end I almost ended up with body damage in a situation like that thank got there was another rig behind me that i attached too and he could apply constant presure on my one side to keep me from going into a tree..

but anyone that has driven one would tell you how NOT useful they really are. Unless your going with a full rock crawler hydraulic 4 wheel steering setup with a control stalk for the rear, 4 wheel steering is useless. Even with the stalk control setup majority of people aren't capable of driving it properly.

ic an see the upside.

4WS was awesome in my old 300zx

but in the 300 it didn't turn opposite directions above 30mph or so, they turned the same direction to let the vehicle slide over without "yawing" or whatever the term may be. do the aftermarket systems do that, or would care be required at highway speeds?

well the kit they are working on now I guess is not all time 4WS it is ment really for offroading and can be flicked on and off with a switch... but yea 4WS wouldnt be too smart on the highway heh... as for getting to know how to use them proper I agree somewhat it might be useless unless you get to know how to use it but that only really goes for 2 seperate steering controls if they both are controlled by the steering wheel and go at the same time wont be hard to learn at all but at the same time wont be as effective as 2 control setup but still more effective then a 2WS setup...
