Was this before or after he hit the tree? Lol... that's why I own a Hummer, I never get that inside my rig! Even when we went to RC last Hummeron37s only had alittle bit of mud in his rig and he was sitting in 3 to 4ft of mud for about 20mins while we winched him out...

Sorry for bringing back bad memories

Thanks for all the posts.

....FJ was at top of my list until I found the H3!

I lost a VW Jetta in 15" of flash flood water, my Moms Lincoln Towncar went right through in front of me, then the Jetta sucked mud water into the engine, cracked 3 rods and messed up the head. Mud water started coming in after sitting in the water until we pushed it out.

I NEVER want to go through that again, on road or off!

Glad to hear the H3 is sealed up pretty good. I guess there is nothing else to protect the airbox other than a snorkel. Sometimes I wish that Hummer designers would have ran the airbox up by the 'intake' at the base of the windshield like the H1, would have made for easy construction of a smaller snorkel.

^^^Thats a tough vid to watch, not only did he get the interior flooded with mudwater, but he hit a tree too!

It was definitely deeper than 3 foot because you can even see my tires in the pictures..

Most of the water was on my floormat. Nothing a wetvac couldnt clean up.

Wow, people. Are you kidding? I LITERALLY have to draw you a picture. Again, mathematical recap. 33" - 24" = 11".

Geez.

Geez.

I think the confusion came from the way your comment was worded. When I originally read it I thought you were talking 1foot above the top of the tire...after re-reading I got it....lol

oh, and that drawing is amazing!
