First (DIY) oil change since I got her....(PICS)
Hello all!
Just yesterday I changed the oil on her for the first time since I purchased her. I also changed the air filter. Wow!! $80.00 for the air filter!!!
Anyways...It was pretty easy. Isn't it wonderful to be able to change the oil w/o having touse ramps or jacks!! )
I love it!!
A few pics for your enjoyment......
The supplies I used...
Here she is getting ready for a little TLC ;o)
Removal of the skid plate........
I also removed these 3 bolts...I'm not sure if I had to...but it just made things way easier.
Old oil filter exposed....I wonder if NAPA filters are ok. I went with OEM though, just in case.
New air filter.....you have to jammed in there pretty tight.
Other goodies I bought for her....
New black roof crossbars..
Custom made windshield "heatshield".....
It fits pretty nice!!
Ok folks that is all for now.
Next thing on mylist is to change the fuel filter. Can you guys guide me as to where is located and is it easy to change (DIY) etc?. Thanks!
Well people....I hope that I did not bored you with my silly post.

the fuel filter is mounted to the front outsideof your gas tank (unless things changed sine '03). doesn't look like you need to remove the tank protection to get to it, but that might make it easier.
