My reverse lights are blacked out as well (as is everything on my truck). I did not us VHT, my lights are painted and match the factory black paint, VHT works well, but leaves a "satin look". If you paint over the reverse lights, only you will complain as it makes it hard to see behind you. Just don't get crazy with how dark you go. I have better reverse lamps in my lights, so it helps.

Looks good...
I used some clear coat too to get that glossy look. Also used some Mcguires compound for plastic to get that good shine. I will probably do the reverse lights too. I have a back-up camera so seeing is not a problem.

Just check with your local laws so you don't fail inspection for blacking them out. Here in NY, it is illegal to restrict light passage on the vehicle. I used nightshades anyways but with a few modifications for the loophole. I didn't like the all red look. Looks good though! let's see some more pic's!

After reading about leveling, I've failed to notice much or anything about having to do an alignment after the fact. Is one not needed? I'm no expert, but it seems that if you raise the front an alignment would be needed.... am I wrong?
