fortunately i havent had any fading yet but want to be proactive by preventing so. i usually keep the truck in the garage or in shade of some sort but on some of the older model H3's, i have seen fading on the plastic hood vent/grill as well as on the pillar trim next to the windshield and rear window. im hoping that in a year or two's time, the plastic will still look good as new. the faded plastic just looks like a cheap design flaw.....

My scooter buddy introduced me to this product that revitalizes plastics and rubber without the oily residue. Its actually pretty darn good in my opinion. We use it to dress up the tires on our scooters and motorcycles at car shows without making the contact areas slippery. Its called Renew, just Google it. I was planning on using it on the trim pieces and bumpers when I pick up my first H3 in 2 weeks.

I use that stuff on my pilars and other trim. My dad uses it on the plastic on his avalanche. It works the best IMO
