I'm getting new rims put on my hummer h3 in a week. Should I sell the factory take-offs or keep-them? I hate selling orginal parts, but I don't see the need for them? What would be a good price if I choose to sell them? Thanks for the help

 

Where are you located and what condition are the rims in? How many miles? Do they include the TPMS or the covers?

I am interested in two (already have two) rims.

 

parts are already xpensive. if you can stash them,,in a few yrs,who knows,,like gold!.
btw, tin is going up faster than gold."tin cans!"

just watch the hidden inflation in food;12-22% since jan.
so stash the "rimz" beside the corn and peas, and theres no date code on the wheels!

oh,down the road,a hummer might become one of those "classics" we all wish we had one of,STOCK,ala 57 chevy 2dr hdtp, the wheels will sweeten the deal when the guy wants to restore.
im enjoyin my adv every day,but 10 yrs when i can honestly say"mud free"it mite sell good

 

Unless you have a place to keep them without them being in the way, I'd just sell them. If you do want to keep them for years and don't plan to use them, ie winter set and summer set, then I'd probably pull the tires off - easier to store and move around.

 

Have the tires dismounted, sell the tires on craigslist and keep the rims.

If you decide to sell both still dismount them. You will get a better price by selling them individually rather then together. Someone without a HUMMER will prob buy the tires and a HUMMER (or Colorado/Canyon) owner will buy the rims.
