Default Factory ride height

I have an 06 h3. 138kms. Ive had the front adjusted to 23 3/4 for a really long time. Rear sitting at 24 1/4 with extended shackles.
I removed my winch and the front rose to 24 3/4. So I decided to return the front back to stock and i adjusted it to 23 in the front.
Now 23 was just a guess for what factory height should be, but when I look at it it seems like the front is way too low. Could it just be my eyes playing a trick on me since Im not used to it??
Tire size is 285/75/16
I tried searching here and on google, what I found is it should be between 22-23.
Thanks

22-23 is right, factory ride height variance depends on the size of tires

265's are .6 of an inch shorter than the 285's.

Back in the dark old days, we used to talk about how many "turns" we put on the front or measured height from the ground to the fender. Then someone got smart and we started measuring ride height from the center of the hubcap/wheel to the bottom of the fender lip. Doing it this way means it doesn't matter what size wheel/tire you have on it, 22 1/4" is still 22 1/4". The numbers you are referencing sound like you are measuring this way too, no need to worry about tire sizes. Stock measurements would be anywhere from 22-23", but 22 1/4 or 22 1/2 is the general stock height. I bet the extra 1" or so in the back is helping make the front look lower too.

Your extended shackles will give it an even greater "stink bug" look than the factory rake.

I got a friend to measure his stock height at 22 1/2. So i guess its just my eyes playing a trick on me even with the rear shackles.
I have to say it drives much smoother and turns easier.
Thanks for the input guys

Back in the dark old days? Now, I feel real old, I measure from the ground to the rockers.

Simple math, ride height is the amount of space between you, inside the vehicle, and the ground.

Ride height=Ground clearance.

Yes, I know how most measure today, however it is inaccurate!

Increasing air in the tires, lowering the air in the tires, installing oversized tires, or installing undersized tires, gives you the same measurements from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender, however your actual ride height will increase or decrease.

I grabbed a couple links for you:

That is a 1.5" ride height increase:

the original post said:

he is just trying to "level" the truck using the same measurements as all have done here for years. nothing was said about "ride height" a separate topic.
he said he forgot what the original measurement was, again not "ride height".

Stay focused, the OP indeed asked for "factory ride height".

The correct answer is:

9.7 inches!

Btw, I was just responding to RSC's post about the variance in tire sizes, affecting the ride height.
Beside that, I posted true ride height information because of the OP's post:

Measure from the ground up and you will know for sure!
