I use Silverstars, they really work well and are legal in all states. The only drawback with them is that they only last about a year in our high-yearly-mileage truck.
If your state allows, also add a set of long-range driving lamps to your brush bar. Mine are plain old KC's triggered by the high beam circuit and they make night driving a breeze.

We bought the PIIA extremes. Paid over 110 bucks for the pair. They were dimmer than the stock bulbs that we had replaced. The brights also were dimmer than the headlights. They were horrible. We drove with them for less than a week. They replaced them with another set............Same thing. They then gave us our money back. Now went back to the silverstars. Much better for about half the price.

Have you been running the 9005's long enough to determine there's no overheating problems (melted connector or lenses)? I thought about doing the same thing, but was concerned about going from the OEM 9145 which is 37 watts to the 9005 which is 60 watts.

Yea, I agree with Happy Hummer on the Sylvania Ultras. I purchased a set for my gf's Pontiac and they really pack a punch going from the stock bulbs. She used to complain about her headlights being dim too, now she doesn't. No complaining = happy bf. Lol.
If you are going to purchase the Ultras, I would first shop around on Amazon because I found that they were $15-$20 cheaper there for her car than AutoZone.

So the Sylvania Ultras are my best bet I guess. Thanks guys! I'll look into replacing the fog light bulbs to something brighter as well. How much does a set run at like Auto Zone? I'll get em off amazon if I have to but I'm an impatient person. lol
