I get to work Monday morning and notice that on my H3 read out says "Gas Cap"...so I get out of my car wondering WTF?...
Well someone had cut the plastic piece that holds my gas cap and taken the gas cap. So I thought maybe I was dumb and left the cap unscrewed and somehow it broke off the plastic piece.

Well after using this as a good excuse to get a chrome fuel door put on I went back to my apt for lunch and notice that the other black H3 in the parking lot had its gas cap cut off as well.

As a result of this I am no longer paying any extra for Green Mountain Energy and will go with the cheapest most polluting company I can find. I am all for cleaner air and what not, but all the militant environmentalists need to be thrown in jail because they do much more harm than good.

Heres to hoping there is nothing in my tank that has yet to rear its ugly head.

 

Wow if all this trash I read here that happens to yall would happen to me.I think I would take vacation and go looking for trouble. The only time anything was even said to me was this weekend at my boys soccer game where a lady said to me her daughter loved the Hummer and she said I wouldnt like the gas. Now I am not sure but I told her besides me in the parking lot were Suburbans, huge Ford trucks, Chevy trucks, and many other vehicles probably around the same gas mileage. So I just responded that itis ignorance. Sort of like over seas that when some countries idiots gets fired up they take it out on a McDonalds as its sort of an American icon. Also I read recently that it is also a, and I cant say the fancy words, a symbol of the split between the haves and have nots of America and it represents elitism!So its all wrong either way. Sorry to hear about the idiots and hope you catch them. Hell it would be worth the price of a camera to hook it up and catch them. Ill donate 5 bucks to that cause. Just dont stoop to their level (by trashing our environmet and all) as you are right these eco terrorists are nuts! Plus count me in if you need someone to help you whoop some *** as I think this old Marine still has a little fire in the bottle!

 

Sorry to hear it, think positive like you said gives you a reason to buy the fuel door. Hope there is nothing but fuel in your tank.

Why so quick to blame environmentalists? Any true environmentalist wouldn't leave a tank of gas (much less two) to vent freely. Maybe you should go off on vandals.

Actually it was over in an area just west of Plano right inside of The Colony...you may know where I am talking about if you are familiar with the area. But I am moving to Frisco in a couple of weeks, so adios to that place.

Why take the gas caps off only the Hummers? - a vandal would take it off themore expensive cars in the parking lot...BMW, Mercedes etc. There are also a lot of "Granolas" and haters in the area.

Off topic, but has anyone put a chrome hood louver on?

Sorry to hear this...like I have said before on other posts. No one has the right to touch someone's property as well as steal and vandalize. I hope you catch the guy who did this, its probably someone that lives in the complex. Probably selling hummer caps on e-bay.
