Got all my stuff ordered. Tearing into it this weekend as long as everything comes in by Friday.

 

Reading on the internet it seems this is a common problem when and if it happens.
I would really wonder if their is a problem with the ground that is loose, resisted or some components utilizing other paths to ground not designed originally. More than likely there is NOTHING wrong with the engine or its components but only that their functions become lost due to grounds. I would use a good DVOM to make sure the ECM, engine block and other items are truly grounded. Even if you used jumper cables to jump them is better than what it is now. in order to examine this path your grounding must cause some thing to change for better or worse. When you do then that area or component is suspect and you have something to go on. These type of problems take time and careful analysis and patience! Also you should do the 'wiggle' test on wires to see if that gentle tug/pull will cause the engine to die or change. Thats another way to further pinpoint an area of a problem. I don't think my problem is knock sensor related as one of the main issues with the ND is lose of MPG .
Will do a second scan today
