Engine Code P2431

Engine Code P2431
Hey Guys,
When I start the old '07 H3 I get engine code P2431 which says "Secondary Air Injection System Pressure Sensor Performance." Apparently this reduces the hydrocarbon emissions during cold starts?? Really other than the light coming on and I turning it off with the code reader every time the vehicle doesn't drive or run any different at all, a few weeks ago it breezed through an Ontario emission test.
Do you think it's worth looking into or not a big deal?
Thanks
Chad

It's not going to hurt anything driving it, you might just be a bigger polluter than you thought.
It could be a simple fix, you might have a bad MAP sensor, or a bad connection/wiring to it. Look around, locate the MAP, check the connection and wire harness leading to it. Take the connector off and clean it with some CRC Electrical contact cleaner, snap it back together. See what you find.

Follow the Doctors advise. Start with the basics. If there was no light on during your Ontario Emission Test it will pass. The problem most likely showed up after the test. I would get the problem fixed. Colonel Sanders (A.K.A. Kathleen Wynne) is on a mission to reduce carbon emissions in Ontario. If you get pulled over the boys in blue, they can force another E-test even if you have a current pass report in your vehicle.
