Electrical issue starting gf's 06 hummer h3 99k miles
Hey all. ....
06 hummer h3 99000 miles
Battery replaced within past year
Battery connection replaced same time
Last Friday 1st time issue happened.
Turn key all lights and all features and or functions good
No anti pass lock troubles
She gets one loud click and clock reset 12:00 pm
Turn key again and engine starts fine.
Fast forward too 08 06 14 and same trouble. Rest of week worked fine.
Got me stumped.
Anyone with experience in this?
Chris

It has been working again today fine. No problems.
I'll recheck connections but they are tight, clean and coated to keep from corroding.
I'm starting to wonder if the starter and or connections at starter are ti@s up.

Well today gf's 06 h3 had the electrical gremlin again.
Much more pronounced and made the center temperature control reset all lights flashing clock to 12:00.
Took a bit but finally started. Got home lifted hood and went at it.
Cleaned cable ends. Dismantled cables and battery box. Dropped armor and checked cables.
Dvm was used for test's and mixed up some baking soda.
Took it to orielleys to have em test battery and starter/alternator.
Wasn't to confident with dude doing test but he did say it passed.
This is an interesting one. Everything is tight clean and functioning.
Alt... 14.49v
Bat.....12.64v
Starter....passed test
