ECU Tune for better mpg???

Default thanks for the info

which model are you using and do the programs come for just this engine size or hummer ,or do you buy it preloaded for just the hummer. thanks for the help ..mike

You would get one that is for that H2 drive line with a 6.0 v8 application in it, they also will work on a few other GM models but you can only use it in 1 vehicle at a time due to the licensing. J

I have been eyeing up something simular. Problem im finding is im UK based. Octane of fuel is higher here..Lowest is 95 and it goes upto 99. From what iv read, the base maps have an octane rating of 93 tops in the US. Not to sure how it would react.

thanks for the help , found a couple on ebay for 369.00 will give it a try .
will have to wait till the bills are lower to buy it , just bought a roof rack .thanks again ..mike

92/93 octane is recommended/required with the most powerful standard maps. It is also the highest octane available at most fuel stations here stateside. Otherwise you would need to look for race fuel or av gas here..

You should be fine with 95 octane as long as it is not leaded fuel. I woulod steer away from the 99 unless you were going to go all out custom & add boost too..

So I wouldnt worry about 95 octane & running the premium mapping. It would actually be a little safer.. J
