ECU Tune for better mpg???

PCM4less has been doing GM motors, particularly their v8's, for years now. They are the way to go. Generally they add more power, and with more power SHOULD come a lighter foot, and with a lighter foot SHOULD come better mileage.
Though, it tends to operate the opposite; most people like the added power, and give it more throttle because it's more fun.

Before I reflashed it in my shop I was getting around 10.5-11.5 when not on the highway/interstate driving the local back roads & city stuff.. On the highway for longer trips before it was around 15..
After I reflashed it in my shop the local/city non highway stuff is now around 12-13 and the highway I can get around 16-17..
Obviously if I tow something or put my foot into it it will loose about 3-4mpg on each of them.. Jamie

Tune, aftermarket air filter, and keeping my foot out of the gas while using cruise control.. Otherwise the numbers aren't as good as I mentioned before..
Actually all of the h2's that I have had were what I consider to be decent on fuel. I would say they were all comparable to my pick ups or other Gm fullsize vehicles with V8's.. J

The Diablo had 2 or 3 preset tunes. I use the one with the most perf. I didnt find it to bad to use at all. Just followed the directions. There are other ones that allow you to do your own cals but you really need to know what you are doing. I have dealt with both types and it depends on what you want.
If you want the simplest and you want to do it yourself, the diablo is one of the easiest we have done and it has gotten the best results for us out of a pre packaged cal from a hand held unit.. Jamie
