They are saying that it was a shallow quake and it was felt as far as Toronto...

I was sitting at my desk here in Blacksburg, VA and my chair started to slightly rock and my computer monitor shook. I thought at first I was having a medical issue but quickly figured out that it was an earthquake. Everyone talked about if for an hour or so and things are back to normal.

I am here in columbia Maryland. Everyone thought it was from the guys working on the roof of our building but then it got Crazier! i thought it felt good, but all the old ladies were running around like crazy. We got evacuated, stood in the parking lot for a good hour and then we all went home! lol

My house is only ~ 30 miles from the center of the quake. No damage thankfully. Was at work at the time in downtown Richmond. Most office buildings were evacuated but no apparent damage.

I work with a guy in Carlisle, PA. He said he felt it, but otherwise pretty much a non-issue. I told him it was probably just the economy crashing from Obama's next great idea.
