Default Driver Side Door Noise (driving me nuts)

When hitting small bumps on a paved road (mostly when the bumps are on the passenger side of the vehicle), I am hearing a rattling noise come from the driver's side door. The location of the rattle seems to be somewhere in the neighborhood of the upper right-hand side (closest to the dash). Today, I had my DS window all the way down, and the rattle seemed to disappear completely. Rolled the window halfway up and the rattle came back (as well as when the window is all the way up). Anybody got any ideas on that one? Much thanks in advance....

Maybe the wiring is such that it is allowed to bounce on something but when you roll the window down it is hitting that so you don't hear it? Maybe try pulling the little rubber grommet out of the door and turn the wiring if you know what I mean.

You mean kind of spin the wiring a bit?

Yes, or even get your finger in there and gently move it. When I installed my back-up camera I left the wiper control wires loose and they knocked around a bit. I bet the body roll when you hit bumps on the passenger side causes the wire bundle to swing.

Mine did it too. I taped up all wires while I had the door panels removed when replacing all the speakers. Problem solved. I'm not sure if it was due to the tape or if I had moved the harness into a different position.

Great, thanks for all the ideas. Is getting the inner door skin off difficult, and can someone provide some instructions on the best way to get it off?
