Door Moulding/Trim & Part ID Question
Hey All, got 2 questions.
The first, how do you go about identifying OEM parts, is there a web catalog or source i can access without dropping $200 for a GM Service Manual. I may do an odd repair here or there, but that cost is lost on me as i would never get under the hood or chassis.
The second, can you help me identify the part in the following image. It's the rubber trim that goes over both doors. As you can see on the photo, where it does the corner, its banged up pretty well. I intend to replace this along with some other things to see if i can fix my leak issues. Both the driver and passenger side moulding is in the same shape.
Thanks, diack

Thats the weatherstrip on the body above the door on the left side; part # 25868657. You dont need to spend big bucks on a service manual, just click over to Hummer Parts
and do your own searching for parts. Now, pricing can vary between sites. I like buying my OEM parts from gmpartsdirect.com. Their prices are usually lower than most others.
Hope this helps.

when that origional seal shrinks, those top corners are where it pulls away from. You can get buy pulling it off from the bottom up and glueing it back from the top down. You will have a bigger gap at the bottom...but it wont cost you anything but the trim sealant.
