Don't love the H1
Well after much looking at H1s to replace my beaten H2 I have come to a decision that I don't love the ride of the H1. LOVE the looks- Bad a**.
But the H2 ride spoils you. The ride on the H1 is a little too hard core. So thinking about buying a 2008 to 2009 H2 and adding all the off road gear to get the H1 look. Even thought about a H2 SUT. I love the look of the H3T, BUT wondering if it will be too small. Any input?
Thanks.

I recently test drove an '01 H1 wagon with Super Swampers and it drove well, rode ALOT smoother than I expected. Handled alot better than I expected as well.
Not sure I'd be willing to move to a 1 from a 2 as a daily driver, but I'm sure thinking more about it since I don't drive the 2 daily much anymore.
The only thing that really gets me down about 1's is the sheer cost of adding all the cool, make it look better, goodies. Racks, bumpers, tires, everything costs way more to get into. Sure, it makes it more of a beast--but you better be ready to open the wallet!
Oh, and you better be a tinkerer and willing to do lots of maintenance from everything I've heard. Not that 1's are unreliable, they just need more love than most vehicles.

I have owned and driven them all. Nothing rides like an H2, they will spoil you quickly. I haven't driven an H1 that ride or drove all that bad. If you are comparing the ride to an H2 the H2 will definitely have the better ride. I have used H2s and H1s for daily drivers since 2003 and love them both. Whether in central Texas or cruising PCH in Newport Beach/Corona del Mar the H1 will get attention.
