But will 315's rub WITHOUT cranking the torsion bars?

Is it necessary to add extended bump stops AND crank the torsion bars?

yes, they rub on the sway bar with or without cranking the bars, its not a big deal... i think this has been covered. No, you don't have to get extended bumps either way, and you definitely don't want extended bumps if you dont crank the bars. My torsion bars are cranked to 23.5" and i haven't touched the shocks or bumps and it drives fine, its a little more wobbly but not dangerous if you have any driving skills. I plan on eventually getting shocks and bumps, but its not high on my todo list.

Good to hear that the spacers help, I might give that a shot.. Think i've got some in the garage.

According to this chart it is not the best idea to put 35's for off-roaders without changing the original transfer case gear ratio, because the lose of torque and risk of breaking something in the differentials, but the customer is always right and I had read in this forum so many times is not big deal using the 35's.

The transfer case has nothing to do with it. It has to do with drivability based on the gear ratio in the differentials. Lower gears will increase the amount of torque to the wheels, but the stress is the same before the diff. The only way you worry about torque is if you have the V8 or the aluminum front diff. That is the reason I bought the adventure package; cast iron front diff. I believe the non-adventure 3's come with 4.11 gears, which is still respectable, but the powerplant just doesnt have enough juice to create a lot of wheel spin, which is a good thing when wheeling. Stuff typically breaks when the tire grips/slips/grips. I think I would be more worried about the bushings on the front diff than breaking stuff. Just be smart, dont wheel in situations where youre at full lock, and let off of it when the tires start bouncing.

Ok, sounds reasonable. Do you know if the 3's adventure 06 version also has de 4.11 gears or something larger like 4.56?

Not sure about the 06's. I have the manual transmission and I have 4:56. The auto comes with the 4:10

My 315 BFG MT's fit perfectly on stock rims and I have no rubbing at all. They really look great as they fill up the super large H3 whell wells. Mine H3 also has a total stock suspension.

Alpha's have 4.10 gears and the 5 cyl's have 4.56 gears auto or manual.
