diagnosis in, does it sound right?
Had my H3 in for a few issues and got it back. My wife had to take it up to the dealership because I had to work.
Problem 1. Front left side leaning down ....my guess torsion bar. Dealer diagnosis torsion bar adjust and realignment. Good work.
Problem 2. Low tire pressure light intermittant. Dealer diagnosis some kind of sensor, something or another calibrated or adjusted, seems ok now.
Problem 3. Check engine light used to come on a lot. Onstar message about error recorded into onstar and played back for dealer. My wife is not sure what the deal was, dealer checked the system and found no messages so whatever it was it cleared itself. I live far from the dealer so I could not take it in right away so the computer stuff disappeared.
Problem 4. This one I'm not so sure about. Rotten egg type smell, definately from exhaust as I smelled it real bad and actually stuck my nose close to exhaust pipe and WHEW, stinky. Dealer diagnosis - Use of gas with to much sulpher content. I don't have the actual write-up with all four problems because I am at work. The dealer basically wrote that it would self correct after a certain amount of time and recommended using better quality gas.
He verbally told my wife that gas from the Texas gas suppliers was high in sulpher and could cause this. He told her that for example the Costco in Tucson gets its gas from Texas and that gas is not as good. It so happens that my wife does get gas from there now and then when she travels to go shopping. This makes no sense, is he crazy or is this a legit diagnosis? If this was the case it would affect all cars right? He said after time it should stop smelling.
Thanks for your input.

RE: diagnosis in, does it sound right?
Computers clear themselves all the time.... and it might come back... depends... if what he was saying about the sulpher is true... then you could be "confusing" your o2 sensors.
I believe in the cheap gas thing. I've smelt the rotten egg smell before in other cars. Don't use a higher octane rating... just get gas from a real gas station. Those places like costco and BJ's and AAFESbuy from the lowest bidder....
My $.02 worth...

I agree with muddy dawg, places like costco or murphys, (wal-mart) have poor quality gas. I don't fill up there anymore but i did a few times in my other trucks and noticed a lower performance level, and even almost...a sputtery type effect. In my area, ilike EXXON. Just an opinion.
