Deployment money well spent
Hello All,
I just purchased a 2006 H3 and I am looking to make some changes. First things first, I need some new rims and tires. I was looking into the Rockstar rims (black), but at stock height I am not sure how big to go. Tire size has also been something I have been working with. I am looking to eventually get a lift on this bad boy, but until then I want to go as big as possible. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your time

You can fit 315/75/16 which are 35x12.50x16 on a stock H3. It will rub alittle at full turn but looks awesome. I did level the front but it isnt necessary. Here is a pic of my H3 before it was leveled.

digitalH3,
First, THANK YOU for serving our country!
Second, Congrats on your H3
Third, as Hummeron37s stated 315s on the stock 16s look great. Remember you can paint the stock 16s any color you want. You can match them to your rig, black them out or tape off sections to create your own personal look. I painted mine to nmatch the color of my bumper and rock rails.
Here are some examples:
Entire rim painted no center caps
Everything painted, not very creative or subtle but very easy to acheive.
Full paint with chrome center cap (wing was painted) Looks like a baby moon.
Inside painted with chrome center cap (Very subtle)
Inside painted with painted center cap (wing left chrome) industrial/machine looking
7 prongs painted with painted center cap (subtle difference from "everything painted)
7 prongs painted with chrome center cap (wing was painted) Looks like a baby moon.

Nope, for now I just painted over the chrome with Rust-oleum HAMMERED Dark Bronze. Once I figure out which "style" I'm going with I will just power wash the paint off and start over. I'm leaning toward the 2nd to the last.
When I do perminently paint, I will scuff the surface to be painted, prime it, then paint with 4-5 light coats and clear the entire rim twice.
