Had my BCM replaced by my local mechanic for around $550 total. Had to go back a second time because he didn't realize the sattelite radio gets locked out. Most of the cost was the labor to program the new module. The module itself was approx $300.

Default BCM relacement

So I made it to 16500 miles and had no high beams suddenly. Checked the PIAA bulbs and all was fine. Switched some relays and still no change so off to the dealership for warranty. They determined a faulty BCM and replaced it two days later.

Now the horn sounds when locking the doors [did not happen before, but I am happy for this] and headlights are normal. Am I to assume the BCM could fail again if the battery and cables are not upgraded? If so how does a person suggest GM covers this?
