Default CV Boot hitting sway bar link

Brand new tithe forum. Done a great deal of work to 2006 H3. Now having problem with CV boot hitting sway bar link causing outer boots to crack. Anyone know of a solution? Was looking at a Moog part that looks to be straight that may work. Anyone have any experience with these?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

My 06 h3 66k miles might be having the same problem. Looking forward to the advice. I also noticed my front driver's side cv seal is leaking? Time to replace them.

That's the first time I have read that. Sure it's hitting the sway bar link?

Post some pix so we can see the issue.

Default CV Boot Hitting Sway Bar Link

Attached a picture (at least I tried to do so). Upon further review my links may be bent, but this is the way they've been since I bought the H3. Please confirm as I have nothing to compare them to. Looks as if they may have been bent on purpose.

the sway bar links should be straight, but I can't tell what the deal is with the CV shaft. Is that the angle it runs at??

Yes, it is an odd angle on the picture. I am running 33" wheels with 33x 12.50 r18 tires.

Your CV IS contacting the sway bar linkage because it all bent to SHlT! Is the sway bar itself centered on both sides? Looks like you are too close to where the CV boot starts on the shaft by about 1".

Did your rig suffer some kind of front end damage? Run over a parking block? Etc? Do the tires wear flat or uneven?

Thanks.

This helps a great deal.

I'll check the sway bar location and order new links.

That is from a broken tierod snapping or bending and when that happens it bends inwards into the swaybar link. Happened to mine before we made the HD tierods.
