Default CTIS and aftermarket rims

Thinking of replacing my rims for after market rims. My H2 has the system that you can deflate the tires by the push of a button for more traction if off-roading. I read up on the CTIS but I'm not seeing anything about a monitoring system but I assume there's something there for this to be able to work.

So, I know the system won't work if I replace the rims and I'm fine with that, but with it throw an error code?

The H2 does not have CTIS. It hasa ride evening system that raises and lowers the rear end up to 2" inches. Changing rims will not impact the system and will not throw any codes.

That's great, but now I have another question. I have a button in the same are as the raise and lower rear the rear. It has the #2 with a TPMS symbol. I thought I read in the manual that this button would deflate the tires for more traction? Is this not the case?

Like 3hummers stated, the H2 did NOT come with a ctis system, nor was it an option. the ctis system inflates and deflates your tires from a compresser that connects via airline directly to your wheels. you would be able to see it if you had one. the button that your referring to just raises the rear end a few inches when off roading. it controls your air springs if you still have them installed.

the other button that your referring to is the traction control. the #2 means its only on the other two tires, I forget which axle front or rear but you can activate it in 4 high locked.

The "other button" allows higher wheel speed spin in situations such as sand and mud.

That's why I love this forum. Just when you think you have your car figured out you learn something new.
