Default crank no start

I have a 2006 H3 randomly cranks does not start, let it sit 10-15 minutes
and it starts and runs fine for days even weeks. Dealer is useless, I have been researching and reading about the anti-theft system being the cause, makes sense, but I havent read anything about the fix.

mine did this weird thing of always starting second time round. Never 1st time.
It was the fuel pump.. once the cartridge was changed, all back to normal..

Probably what he is calling the assembly.

I had a similar issue with a suburban and with a fuel gauge, found that the fuel pressure was on the mark, but the check valve was bad causing the fuel to return to the tank as soon as the ignition was turned off. I added an inline check valve for the fuel line and had no more issues.

Listen to Doc. Sounds like passlock to me. It happens to us randomly. Until we get the pcm tune it's going to keep happening. I notice that it happens when we try to start it too quick, when we turn the key quick like when we are in a hurry it does it every time. Wait 10 mins then starts right up. Can't wait to disable it and get the tune.

Hey Doc, searched passlock, was suggested cut new key because if key is worn tumbler
wont reconize key and activate immobolizer and have to wait for it to reset. Cut new
key will see how that goes. At least I have someplace to start.

Thanks for info

On the Suburban, the fuel line was metal. I had to cut out 1.1" and chose to cut out a section right before the inline fuel filter. Used a mini hacksaw and the first cut wasn't much fun, but went slow and eventually had a clean cut. I was then able to remove the fuel filter which had the remaining piece of fuel line on it and I could put it in a vice and cut better. Overall took about an hour and cost $40 instead of the cost and labor of a fuel pump.

yeah, you know what you're doing. I wondered about hose clamps and a rubber coupler since they seem fussy about fuel line connectors with this higher pressure for injectors.
id like to have an in line filter no matter how clean the gas is supposed to be!
it may not always be..
