A couple of random questions:
Proud H3 owner for 2.5 months now and loving it
1) Headlamp bulb replacement - if I don't want to purchase complete HID system, what is a good bulb only replacement that will enhance night vision on H3 to a noticeable amount? If someone has optional bulb, list specific bulb brand and model#.
2) What's the biggest issue with taking H3 through car wash. OEM antenna is already shorted to 24" down from 36".
3) When adding upgraded CAI, plan to go with AIRDOC - if that's the only mod, is it worth the $160 investment.

I went to the parts store and bought the best replacement bulbs they had. They work well. Also the "fog" lights throw a nice bit of light right in front of the H3.
I haven't had a problem with the stock radio antenna and car wash. It whipped around but it was fine.

no car wash 4 me
winters a mess on the way home from car wash so i do a spray clean often till spring comes and i can get the bucket. no car wash for me,no scratches for h3.
$160 buys a lot of gas. the "guaranteed"mileage boost is,???. hp inc,??? probably not notice it.
it could take years to pay off,as YOU drive. but if it feels good,,,do it!
i spent apx $40 for bright white lites,,didnt do much, back to stock, do the fog mod,,helps

AIRDOC is the way to go! but be sure to slap on a K&N air filter.. you will notice a change! IMHO that is!

I replaced the OEM antenna with a 15" shorty. The 15" then got broken off in a car wash. I have a OEM on now.

My 09 didn't have the airbox bottleneck like I have read about., it has a big opening. I also regret making my own intake tube to replace the airbox after reading that you can just roll up a piece of thin aluminum and insert it into the resonator box. I'll probably do that. Keeps the factory look with no airflow disruption. Also going to drill a small hole in it so the crankcase still breathes. Other than replacing the air filter, its all adequate. If you do an oiled filter, make sure its not over oiled. The oil can coat the MAF wires and screw up its readings.
