Default Torque-to-yield

Perhaps I've missed it here, but it should be noted that the water pump bolts cannot be reused to torque. The bolts are a torque-to-yield bolt that actually stretch on the last quarter turn after torque and therefore will not reseat. New bolts from GM need to used to bolt on the pump.

I'm sorry. I've understood that forums like this were to be a collection of helpful information on topics that are curated for reference with the advantage of updating and adding information that others might find valuable.

I promise, it won't ever happen again.

Hey I'm having that issue as we'll. it seems there is a leak somewhere. I was only able to see an actual leak when I parked on a slanted street because it never showed any leak on the floor. I'm taking the car tomorrow to the shop where it was repaired after a hit and run on the left tire ($7,000 in damages).
But I wonder: my warrantee expired one year ago. Will GM still cover that if it a manufacturer fault????
If so there should be a recall

PLEASE COMMENT. This can be very expensive crap

DO NOT dig up old posts. DO NOT post duplicate messages in multiple threads. I deleted the others.

If what is the manufacturer's fault? Since you are taking it to a shop for diagnosis, it would have been better to wait until you know where the leak is coming from, then post a new thread providing that information and ask your question.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
