Default Considering buying 2004 H1

Hey guys,

I was just wondering on your thoughts because I have recently been given the opportunity to buy a 2004 Hummer H1 4 door soft top in perstine condition I am told. I currently own a 2006 H3 and I would like to know what are the Cons of the model year 2004 H1's. It is being offered to me for 35k. is it a good price? What type of real world MPG's can I expect?

Thank you in advance,

BumChuck

35K? Current pricing for an 04 is in the 85-105K range. Wagons bring more than OT. The 04 model is the only year with the Caterpillar computer and harness. It has had issues that are still unresolved. Caterpillar only make a few hundred of the units and has no interest in supporting them. AMG can't do much with it either. 04 is the last year I would buy but if you can get it for 35K then yes it is a great price. I suggest you approach the possible sale as if it is a scam.

Hey,

So I finally was able to see the H1. It is a 2002 H1 with the interior of the 2004. It is being sold for 35K. What are the problems with that specific model year? What type of MPG can i expect?

Thank you,

BumChuck

Did you end up buying this vehicle?
I'd love to see some pictures of it. I'm trying to better understand the value of these vehicles.

2004 is the first year of the new interior. Many like it much better than the old interior. It would cost about 15K to buy the parts to install.
