Compressor noise question
Does the compressor in the back of the H2 ever stop running? Is there a way to stop it from turning on and off on its own? I can just be sitting at a light and the thing will just turn on....This may be a stupid question, or a repeated one but i need to know. Thanks

typically it will always be adjusting. if it seems to be doing it constantly while you're at a light, instead of just a quick adjustment, you may have a leak in one of the air bags in the back. aside from pulling the fuse, which isn't a good idea, i don't think there's a way to turn it off. i don't have the air suspension in the rear, but i've heard them adjusting on other H2s out on the trail, even while we're sitting on somewhat level ground. if it's constant, get Ezio under the back, with the truck running, and have him spray the airbags with a detergent solution, and see if any air bubbles come up on the air bags. i'd recommend not moving while he's doing this, unless for some reason he hasn't been a good boy lately . . . . . .

I think it is adjusting like you said. Just didnt know if it was normal or not. Thanks for the help sb. I know ezio will check the airbags just incase to make sure all is well.

it's constantly monitoring the level of the truck, so any changes in road or terrain surfaces will cause it to react. the whole point of it is to keep the rear end level, primarily for towing, but it never knows if you're towing or not. if you have a friendly service advisor at your dealership, you may want to call and ask them. they'll probably ask you to bring it in, but do what you can to get an answer from them. even a sales person may be able to help with that question. personally, i'm glad i don't have one - first, it would be coated in mud and have a hard time sucking in air, second, i would have to listen to it in between songs . . . .

it's only in the rear, and it's designed to keep the *** end from sagging when you're towing something heavy. i prefer old school spring suspension, which is on mine. i use a load leveling setup on my camper, so i don't need the airbags for that.
