Default clunk in tranny, rattle underneath

I have a clunk when I am rolling about 5mph and then accelerate again. I have a rattle underneath when going over bumps. I am taking it into the dealer today or tomorrow and will keep everyone posted. It's a 07 base model with 12,400 miles. No mods except for putting on 285/75/16's and a K&N filter.

Good luck! My rattles have all been self-inflicted but the clunks, for me, have all been the steering shaft issue. With temps at 114 yesterday the clunks wouldn't stop! [/align]

all of My clunk are also self-inflicked I was under the truck a week ago and foung this rubber mount all torn up (not self inflicted) I guess it happens when you go 4wheelin a lot. Taking it to the dealership in the AM, they have to replace the entire crossmember since the mount is pressed in it. alrck Not sure if you heard the very loud clunk when I would shift into 4 Low on Sunday? should be al better tomorrow.

Nope, didn't hear your loud clunk, I was too busy listening to the rocks scraping my undercarriage. Ordered the GM UCP today ($282+$40 shipping, eBay) and rear axle skid plates ($140, rubberduck4x4). I assume the dealer is covering that crossmember under warranty?

I think I only scrapped a couple of times esp on that rock where the white h3 was high centered. Yeah the dealer is covering the replacement of the crossmember. My service advisor said it is common if you do a lot of wheelin.

I have a similar thread running regarding a clunking noise. Mine feel related to the driveshafts and universal joints..like to much slop. My H3 only has 3500 miles so I can't believe the universal are worn. Maybe defective?
