Cloth Seats and Children
Hopefully, I will be buying my H3 this week or next. I was wondering how well does the cloth seats clean up. I'm not sure if I should upgrade to Leather or will the cloth be find for every day children spills and uses.
Also, anyone have experience with child seats in the back? Any problems?
Thank you for your time.

RE: Cloth Seats and Children
I have a two year old son and cloth interior. It really does clean up easily, unlike most cloth interiors this is more like a microfiber I guess you could say. As far as the car seat, if you are getting an 06 model there are no child safety door locks and the little ones can reach the door locks and handle if the seat is mounted behind the drivers or passenger seats. I had this happened and had to move the seat into the middle of the rear bench which has eliminated this problem but also killed any chance of comfortably sitting an adult in the back. Also depending on your car seat the cupholder that slides out of the back seat could make mounting the seat in the middle tricky. I had to remove the base of the carseat because mounting it on the hard plastic cup holder made it near impossible to eliminate side to side movement. Once I removed the base the seat is very secure now and never needs retightening. Hope this helps you.
BTW 2007 models will have child safety door locks.

I would never go back to cloth seats again! The people I work for bring their bulldogs to work everyday and if I house sit for them, I have to bring them in and I have to say just for that reason I would never have cloth again and the same for kids, they are all messy and to me leather is a lot easier to clean up than cloth and there isn't that much maintenance with it. Yeah the leather may get hot, but crank the AC in the truck and you'll be fine. That's what I do

We have cloth in our H3 and are very happy. This is the first vehicle in several years that we have not opted for leather interior. I have dogs that ride occasionally and didn't want to risk a puncture. Plus, I wasn't that impressed with the "leather" on past GM vehicles I have owned.

I have cloth because if I ever take it swimming, I dont want the interior to smell like a dead cow after a couple of weeks.
Try something like laundry soap, warm water, and a sponge. Test it in a hidden area first to ensure that it wont hurt the fabric. I'm no Suzie Homemaker, it's just the first thing that popped into my head, and something I think I would try if it were me.

There is a guy on ebay selling leather seat covers for approx $700.
I have peanut putter stain on driver seat (yes I am a slob) what is a good cleaner that won't ruin the cloth?
