Clear fluid leaking from center underside of H3
#11
I got the car back from the Hummer dealer yesterday (12/09/09). They said the leak was residue from the initial repair in which they replaced the transfer case gasket. Transfer case fluid had collected in a wiring harness/conduit that service failed to notice when they supposedly wiped down the vehicle on the initial service.

Hello H3_2009,
have you checked your brakefluid?
The fluid from the transfercase should be red, because it's Dexron III recommended.
The only clear fluids, i know, is brakefluid, fuel or condensingwater from the exhaust.
Check your brake fluid, no brakes wouldn't be funny.
Regards,
Jens

The fluid for the transfer case should be Dexron VI.

This fluid does not appear to be red and I know it's not brake fluid because brake fluid has a strong odor which this fluid does not. My brake fluid levels are fine as well. I know it's not condensation either because this fluid has a viscous, oily and slippery feel to it...far more slippery and oily than condensation..
Thanks for all of your replies--much appreciated.
