Chrome Fuel Door not staying closed
I searched the forum and couldn't find anything on this issue. I have an H3 and my Chrome Fuel Door will not stay closed. I'm not sure if I can take this chrome piece off and repair whatever is broken or if I will have to buy a new one. Thanks for your help.

yeah, whatv the heck, just $150-$250,,,yikes!! id see if the spring can be fixed, dealer? warr?. or rig up a neat hidden spring/rubber band!
you could put a screw in the plastic "boot: on the left side hook a spring to it and, something ?, on the door.
i dont remember the nonlocking cover. my locking cover has a tight hinge, dont need to lock it always.

Chrome Fuel Door
drtom thanks for the suggestions
TAINTER, 2006 H3, bought new, it has the Chrome package this fuel door came with the vehicle, GM not aftermarket. My question I guess would be can I unscrew this thing, take it off and try to fix the spring? I'm unsure if I can take it off without ruining it.
