CHP suspects DUI in fatal I-10 crash

According to several different eyewitness accounts/news reportsof last evening's multi-vehicle/fatal trafficaccident on the eastbound I-10 (east of Palm Springs) during rush-hour traffic, it appears that a blown tire from a tractor-trailer rig caused an intoxicated driver of a Ford Rangerto over-correct and then sideswipe the above Hummer. The H2rolled-over several times...separating the vehicle's body from the chassis, as well as ejecting both female occupants from the vehicle.

Although the right/rear female passengerwas wearing her seatbelt upon impact,she succumbed from her injuries after being thrown from the vehicle. The female driver of the H2 is in the hospital. Three others from other involved vehicles were also injured. The intoxicated driver of the Ford Ranger suffered only minor injuries and was arrested on-scene on suspicion of manslaughter and DUI causing injury, authorities said.

Look how well that H2 held up to that though... I'm impressed... Sad for the loos of life.. but WOULD have been worse if it was a cherokee or somethign along the lines of a large SUV...

That is exactly why I bought my H2. That picture gives me the creeps...Looks too much like what happened to me... It's good to see that the H2 can take a beating though...
