Checking in from Dubai
Hello all, new member here.
I'm a Canadian ex-pat that has been living in Dubai for the last 7 years and have recently picked up a H3, absolutely love it for the most part so far. When I was back in Canada I had a few SUV's and trucks, my favorites were my 2 door Blazers ('97 & '00) and a 4 door Z71 8100 ('05), this little H3 feels like it fits in between really well. I've always admired the style since the first one I saw back in Canada in '05 (or early '06), now I wonder why I took so long to buy one.
Here is a quick picture of it durng the first off-road tour I took out into the desert, I was fortunate enough to have a camel take the time to pose for me
I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of members and getting some ideas on mods, don't worry about me being a newb, asking newb questions and not knowig how to use the search function - I'm a very active member on another forum, MBWorld. I try to contribute as much as I can as I progess with my CLK build, here is what sits next to the H3 in my garage;
Again, looking forward to meeting all of you and contributing when I can
Kev.

Welcome Kev,
Firstly hope you were told to remove the fuse for airbag before going offroad in the dunes, expensive to repair if all bags deploy mid sidesloping.....
We are out fridays in Dubai and AD in the dunes, welcome to join us (see ad4x4.com for trip details) we are starting morning trips with meeting times currently around 5:30am.
Sure you will enjoy your H, feel free to call me if you need any local advice...will pm you my number...
Hope to see you around...
Cheers
Sean

Hey Sean, thanks for the welcome.
I was not told to remove the fuse, but at the same time I wasn't doing anything aggressive, I just decided to do a little off-roading while on a beer run to Barraccuda
I'm really looking forward to meeting up with you guys and heading out, I haven't done any off-roading since I left Canada, Ive been keeping myself busy at YAS and Autodrome for the most part.
Shoot me your mobile and I'll touch base with you.
Thanks again.

Welcome to the forum.. Nice ride and I am partial to the color... If you are going to be doing any serious offroading you might want to add some good UCP, and maybe a set of rock sliders... Enjoy life, and enjoy your Hummer..
