Check Engine Light
#11
From what I have read the sku of VINs that was initially thought to have the issues were VINs lower than 287591 for the last 6 numbers. Mine is 199966, but like DAGKANA said it doesn't appear just to be limited to those VINs. I have even heard from people that have 2007s that have had the same issue, even though it was supposed to have been corrected in those models.
Mark - if your check engine light is coming on and you are getting the code P302 or P305 (most common according to my dealer), or any random misfire code, I would take it to the dealer immediately. I believe since it has been such a widespread issue, they have been given some flexibility with warranties (I was told they were given up to 24k mile extension for the repairs). I was just barely under 75,000 miles and they took care of it for me, no loaner but repaired in 4 days at no cost to me.

I'm a noob to the H3's especially to the 3.5/3.7, but what appears to be the problem with the heads? Just the head gasket? If that's the case you think GM would have learned their lesson with the junk 3.8L and 3.4L gaskets they put on those engines in the late 90's and early 2000's.
