check engine light is on, on my 03 h2. hooked up unit to figure out the code and nothing showed up on the screen. said "please connect unit to vehicle". did the same with by buddies unit and same thing happend. any ideas on a cheap way to fix this myself, or am i going to have to take it to the dealer to figure out??

Does your cigarette lighter work? if not you have a blown fuse....

actually my cigarette lighter doesnt work. my 2 12v outlets work, but not the cigarette lighter itself. but ive checked all the fuses, maybe ill go ever them again.

and under the hood? can you b more specific with that? sorry i lack common sense when it comes to stuff like this.

The box on the drivers side. There is a cig lighter fuse that also controls the power to the OBD II link.

well i checked all the fuses and they all seem to be good. unless you have any other ideas i guess ill just take it to the dealer and let them figure it out. maybe its the wiring? fuses all seem good, but cigarette lighter and obd still arent working. idk

has to be a fuse. A small one....i believe a 15. It should say in the manual or on the cover you have to take off which fuse is for the cig lighter.

i figured it out. there was a 25 fuse in the 15 spot. (idk y that would matter, but in this case it did) the 25 fuse was still good because i tried it in another spot out of curiousity. o well, i figured it out. thanks to you guys for helping me.
